Edgar Velasquez was born in 1979, in the city of Bogota Colombia. At the age of four, his parents moved to Miami for a better life for their two kids. Edgar started painting early in his life. Enjoying the basic art classes his school offered. At the age of 12 Edgar found his first complex artistic expression with Graffiti. Over the next nine years, Edgar developed compositional ideas and a feeling for abstract shapes through graffiti. As his love of art grew, Edgar stared working with other mediums, experimenting with photography, and graphic arts. In 2002 He started combining photography with abstract graphics using a computer. This led to more complex photo shoots and a love of highly finished fashion images. In 2004 Edgar began creating paintings on a larger scale. Currently Edgar is producing is large quantity of fashion portraits and several new large scale paintings.
